Every mod on VertexMods goes through a rigorous manual review process before it reaches your server. Here's exactly how we verify quality and security.

Unlike open marketplaces where anyone can upload anything, VertexMods manually reviews every single script before publishing. Our review team consists of experienced FiveM developers who understand server architecture, common exploit vectors, and what makes a script production-ready.

This process typically takes 24–48 hours. Scripts that don't meet our standards are rejected with detailed feedback so creators can improve and resubmit.

1.Manual Code Review

Every script is read line by line by a human reviewer. We examine the logic, structure, and intent of the code to ensure it does exactly what it claims — nothing more, nothing less.

Full source code inspection — no encrypted or obfuscated scripts allowed
Logic verification to confirm the script matches its description and feature list
Architecture review for clean separation of client/server code and proper event handling

2.Security Scanning

We check for backdoors, data exfiltration, unauthorized remote access, and other malicious patterns that could compromise your server or players.

Backdoor detection — scanning for hidden admin access, remote code execution, and callback exploits
Obfuscation rejection — all code must be readable and auditable, no minified or encoded payloads
Network analysis — verifying no unauthorized external connections, data harvesting, or token theft

3.Compatibility Testing

We verify that scripts work correctly with the frameworks and dependencies they claim to support, preventing conflicts and broken installations.

Framework verification — confirming proper ESX, QBCore, QBox, or Standalone compatibility
Dependency check — ensuring all required resources are documented and no hidden dependencies exist

4.Quality Standards

Documentation review — setup instructions, configuration guides, and dependency lists must be complete
Code cleanliness — consistent formatting, meaningful variable names, and no dead or commented-out code
Performance assessment — checking for unnecessary loops, memory leaks, and excessive database queries

5.Ongoing Monitoring

Our review doesn't end at publication. We continuously monitor published scripts through user reports, update reviews, and automated health checks.

User report system — community reports are investigated and acted upon within 24 hours
Update re-review — every script update goes through the same review process as the initial submission
Automated link and download health checks — broken or unavailable files are flagged and deactivated automatically

Common Rejection Reasons

Transparency matters. These are the most frequent reasons scripts don't pass our review:

Obfuscated or encrypted code — we require full source code visibility for security auditing

Unauthorized external connections — scripts must not phone home, collect analytics, or connect to external servers without disclosure

Missing or incomplete documentation — users need clear setup instructions and configuration guides

Framework incompatibility — scripts must work with the frameworks listed in their description

Poor code quality — excessive bugs, memory leaks, or SQL injection vulnerabilities
