How the Job Works
Players start by visiting a beach location to join the diving job and rent equipment. They purchase or rent a diving suit and oxygen tank. Once equipped, they travel to designated diving zones (marked on the map or discovered through exploration). Players dive beneath the surface and search for coral collection points scattered across the ocean floor. Approaching a coral spot triggers a harvesting animation. After collecting coral, players must manage their oxygen and return to the surface before air runs out. Back on land, they process the raw coral at a processing location. Finally, they sell the processed coral for money. The cycle repeats, creating a meditative, scenic gameplay loop.

Oxygen Management System
The oxygen system adds risk and urgency to diving. Players see an oxygen meter showing remaining air supply. Diving deeper or staying underwater longer depletes oxygen. Running out of air causes damage and can lead to drowning if players don't surface. This creates tension - should you grab one more coral or play it safe and surface now? The system can be configured for realism (strict oxygen limits) or casual fun (generous air supply). Experienced divers might get oxygen bonuses through job progression.
Coral Zones and Exploration
Configure multiple coral zones across the Los Santos ocean. Place zones near popular beaches for easy access or in remote areas for exploration rewards. Each zone can have different coral types or values - shallow zones yield basic coral, while deep zones offer rare specimens worth more money. The configuration allows you to create a coral economy where dedicated divers learn the best spots. Some servers make certain zones job-locked (only employed divers can harvest) while others allow anyone to dive recreationally.
Framework Compatibility
- ✅ ESX - Built specifically for ESX Legacy and older ESX versions
- ❌ QBCore - This version is ESX-only (QB versions may exist separately)
- ❌ Standalone - Requires ESX framework for job and inventory systems
Economy and Pricing
Configure the job's profitability to match your server economy. Set coral prices at the low end for a supplementary income source or higher for a viable primary job. Adjust processing requirements - does raw coral sell directly or must it be processed first? Configure equipment costs - free gear makes the job accessible, while rental fees create overhead. Consider coral rarity tiers where certain zones yield valuable coral worth much more than common varieties. Balance the job against other civilian work like trucking or mining.
What Makes It Stand Out
Most FiveM servers focus on land-based activities - the ocean gets ignored. This diving job utilizes Los Santos' beautiful underwater environment that many players never see. The peaceful, scenic nature contrasts with high-stress jobs like police or criminal activities. It's perfect for players who want to relax and enjoy the game world while still earning money. The oxygen management adds just enough challenge to keep it engaging without being frustrating. With 98+ sales, this script has proven popular with servers wanting diverse, unique job options.
Roleplay Integration
The diving job supports various roleplay scenarios. Create a marine biology faction that researches ocean life. Use coral as a crafting ingredient for jewelry or decorative items. Integrate with shop systems where coral-based products are sold. Have players rent boats to reach diving zones, creating cooperation. Establish diving tour companies where experienced divers guide newcomers. The job opens underwater roleplay opportunities beyond simple coral farming.
Configuration Flexibility
Customize the script extensively through the config file. Set coral spawn points anywhere in the ocean. Define processing locations (beach shacks, research labs, or mobile boats). Configure oxygen depletion rates for realism versus accessibility. Set harvesting animations and timing. Determine equipment requirements (just a suit, or suit + tank + flippers?). Adjust prices for coral, processing, and equipment. Control job progression - do experienced divers harvest faster or get bonus coral? The flexibility allows you to create the exact diving experience your community wants.
