Elevate police roleplay on your FiveM server with Core Evidence v2, a comprehensive forensic investigation system. Officers can collect fingerprints, DNA, bullet casings, vehicle fragments, and more from crime scenes. This advanced evidence system brings realistic CSI mechanics to your server, making detective work engaging and rewarding.
Core Evidence v2 is a complete crime scene investigation suite designed for law enforcement roleplay. The system automatically generates evidence at crime scenes including blood splatters from injuries, bullet casings from gunfights, fingerprints on vehicles and weapons, and vehicle fragments from collisions. Officers use specialized tools to collect, analyze, and document evidence for building cases against criminals.
Blood Evidence: When players take damage or die, blood splatters appear at the location. Officers can swab blood for DNA analysis and match it to injured suspects. Blood evidence is critical for placing suspects at violent crime scenes.
Fingerprints: Left on vehicles when entering/exiting and on weapons when handling. Fingerprint evidence connects suspects to specific vehicles or weapons used in crimes. Criminals can avoid leaving fingerprints by wearing gloves.
Bullet Casings: Shell casings automatically spawn when firearms are discharged. Each casing can be analyzed to determine weapon type and potentially link to registered firearms or previous crimes.
Vehicle Fragments: Generated during vehicle collisions or damage. Useful for hit-and-run investigations and tracking vehicles involved in chases or crimes.
Magazine Evidence: Dropped magazines provide weapon information and can be dusted for fingerprints, connecting suspects to specific firearms.
The glove protection system adds strategic depth to criminal activities. Criminals who equip gloves before committing crimes won't leave fingerprint evidence on vehicles or weapons. This creates interesting gameplay where smart criminals prepare properly, while careless criminals leave trails. Police must adapt investigation tactics when fingerprints aren't available, relying on witness statements, surveillance, and other evidence types.
Core Evidence v2 includes realistic environmental effects. Evidence left outdoors during rain will gradually wash away and become uncollectible. This creates urgency for crime scene investigators to respond quickly to outdoor scenes. Indoor evidence remains preserved indefinitely. The weather system affects blood splatters and some trace evidence, while items like bullet casings persist longer.
Server owners can extensively customize evidence behavior through config files. Adjust evidence spawn rates and frequencies, set degradation timers for different evidence types, configure weather effects on evidence persistence, define which jobs can collect evidence, customize evidence marker visuals and colors, set database search permissions and restrictions, adjust lab processing times and costs, enable/disable specific evidence types, and configure report generation templates and formatting.
The archive system is crucial for server performance. Old evidence is automatically moved to archive tables after configurable time periods (default: 30-90 days), preventing database bloat. Active evidence remains quickly accessible while historical data is preserved for record-keeping. The system uses efficient detection zones and only spawns markers when law enforcement is nearby, minimizing unnecessary processing.
Unlike basic evidence scripts that just drop items, Core Evidence v2 creates a complete investigative ecosystem. The weather degradation system adds realism and urgency. The glove mechanics reward smart criminals and challenge investigators. The database integration allows building cases over time, connecting evidence from multiple scenes. With comprehensive evidence types covering all major crime scenarios, it supports serious law enforcement roleplay. Over 79 servers rely on Core Evidence v2 for professional-grade CSI mechanics.
This system transforms police work from simple arrests to compelling investigations. Detectives can spend hours piecing together evidence, interviewing suspects, and building airtight cases. Criminals must be strategic about evidence avoidance. The court system benefits from documented evidence for trials and prosecutions. It creates engaging storylines where investigations unfold over days or weeks as evidence accumulates and analysis reveals connections.
