This sophisticated script creates true vehicle ownership depth by requiring periodic maintenance, tracking every kilometer driven, enabling custom performance modifications, and allowing mechanics to service and upgrade vehicles with specialized tools. Unlike simple cosmetic tuning scripts, Advanced Vehicles simulates real automotive mechanics including oil changes, tire wear, suspension deterioration, and performance upgrades that actually modify vehicle physics and handling.
Vehicle condition deteriorates naturally based on mileage and usage patterns. Engine oil degrades every 1,500 km and must be changed or engine power decreases progressively. Tires wear out after 8,000 km, affecting grip and handling in corners and wet conditions. Timing belts need replacement around 10,000 km or risk catastrophic engine failure. Shock absorbers degrade with use, making suspension bouncy and reducing handling precision. Brake pads wear down, increasing stopping distance. Air filters become dirty, reducing engine efficiency. Transmission fluid breaks down, causing gear shift problems. Neglected vehicles gradually lose performance until properly serviced by mechanics.
The upgrade system modifies actual vehicle physics rather than just cosmetic changes. Engine upgrades increase horsepower and torque, directly affecting acceleration and top speed. Turbocharger and supercharger kits add boost pressure for significant power gains. Transmission upgrades change gear ratios for better acceleration or higher top speed. Suspension modifications lower ride height and stiffen springs for improved handling but rougher ride. Brake upgrades reduce stopping distance and prevent brake fade. Nitrous oxide injection must be purchased and installed through the upgrade menu before activation. Service procedures require purchasing parts items (oil bottles, tire sets, belts, filters) and using them on vehicles. Upgrade installations require upgrade parts and mechanic labor. This creates dedicated mechanic job gameplay where players bring vehicles for service, mechanics diagnose problems, quote prices including parts and labor, and perform the work. Society integration allows mechanic businesses to profit from services.
Every aspect is configurable through detailed config files. Adjust mileage intervals for oil changes, tire replacements, and component wear. Modify degradation rates for aggressive vs careful driving. Create custom upgrade types with specific physics modifications. Set prices for parts, services, and upgrades. Configure which items are required for each service. Define upgrade prerequisites (must have engine upgrade before turbo). Adjust nitro power multiplier and charge capacity. Set mechanic job requirements and permissions. Add compatibility for custom vehicle handling files.
