Bring urban bike sharing to your FiveM server with this premium rental system featuring fully synced docking stations across Los Santos. Inspired by real-world programs like London's Santander Bikes, players walk up to any docking machine, hire an available bike, and return it to any station when finished. Perfect for adding convenient transportation between key locations, this resource creates authentic city infrastructure with working bike share stations, real-time availability tracking, and synchronized rentals across all players.
A complete bike sharing ecosystem with multiple pre-configured docking stations positioned at strategic locations throughout the map. Each station features custom 3D models for docking machines and bikes, interactive hire points, visual markers showing availability, and synchronized state management. The system includes all necessary client and server files, comprehensive configuration options, and professional models converted specifically for FiveM by experienced 3D modelers.
You can hire a bike by walking up to any of the machines at a bike docking station. Once you are at the machine, a prompt will ask you to press ENTER (this key is configurable in the config) to hire a bike. If you integrate this into your framework, you can make it check whether the player has sufficient funds.
If there is a bike available, the dock will light up green with a marker and the bike will unlock, allowing the player to move it. They'll be notified in-game that this is now unlocked for them. This syncs with all other players and means that they'll no longer be able to hire a bike from that dock.
The amount of bikes at each dock varies, some docks around the map only have 3 stations whereas others have 5, creating realistic capacity differences based on location popularity.
The resource comes with lots of pre-configured docking locations strategically placed at high-traffic areas: near hospitals, police stations, government buildings, popular businesses, beach areas, and major intersections. This positioning ensures players always have convenient bike access for short trips. You can easily add more stations in the configuration file to match your server's unique map layout and custom MLO locations.
The resource is highly configurable, allowing you to:
This resource can easily be retextured to match bike sharing programs from other countries and cities. The default models included are styled after London, UK and the Santander Bike Hire scheme, but you can apply custom textures to recreate Citi Bike (NYC), Divvy (Chicago), Vélib' (Paris), or any regional bike share brand. Simply replace the texture files while keeping the model structure intact.
The bike hire system uses advanced server-side state management to ensure perfect synchronization across all connected players. When someone hires a bike, that dock immediately becomes unavailable to everyone else. Real-time blip updates reflect current availability without requiring manual refreshes. The system handles edge cases like player disconnects, server restarts, and network issues gracefully, automatically resetting bikes to maintain system integrity.
This is incredibly useful for allowing your players to quickly get from one garage to another by hiring a bike along the way, creating realistic city navigation patterns. Unlike basic vehicle spawners, this resource adds genuine infrastructure with visual docking stations, synchronized availability, and return-anywhere functionality. The professional custom models and real-world inspiration create immersive urban roleplay that players recognize from actual cities. The automatic reset feature solves the common problem of players abandoning rentals, ensuring bikes remain available even on busy public servers.
You could even restrict this resource to certain players, such as making this a donator only perk! Add permission checks in the server file to verify player group membership before allowing bike hires. This creates an exclusive transportation network for supporters while maintaining balance by not providing pay-to-win vehicles - just convenient city bikes for short trips.
